While we talk about sustainable fashion and recycling in modern age, weavers of Khesh have been carrying on the tradition of up-cycling practice for decades in the Bengal region.

With the surge of fast fashion, this old tradition of Khesh is upon the verge of decay. Many weavers’ livelihood still depends on this simple yet beautiful saree, which is also a very strenuous job to make.
